About the Role

As the Business Development Director for Papua New Guinea (PNG), you will play a pivotal role in the company expansion strategy. Reporting to the VP of Sales Pacific, this position is crucial for expanding the company partnerships network locally and managing key relationships with all customers, partners, and other stakeholders


Responsibilities

· Develop and execute a playbook for prioritized potential customers in PNG.

· Formulate business development strategies and create annual plans for specific accounts to achieve business objectives.

· Manage and grow existing client relationships while acquiring new clients, facilitating regular meetings for retention and relationship building.

· Keep the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool up to date for informed decision-making.

· Research potential new customers, initiate contact with decision-makers, and confirm their needs.

· Deliver compelling proposals, negotiate contractual areas to mutual satisfaction, and ensure successful implementation.

· Analyze requests for proposals, provide critical input on costs, and contribute to the development of testimonials for new business.

· Gather market, operational, and regulatory intelligence.

· Support customers by organizing technical training and guidance when required.

· Cooperate closely with the marketing department to enhance the company’s visibility in the market.


About You

· Degree qualified in Business or Engineering discipline preferred

· Min 3+ years’ full cycle sales experience, B2B or B2G

· Knowledge or exposure to Satellite, Telecoms, Broadband space highly regarded

· Demonstrated experience closing large deals

· Willingness and ability to commit to significant travel within Papua New Guinea

· A hunter mentality
