About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, this pivotal role of Human Resources Consultant in the Australasia team, based in Sydney, has been created to fortify their commitment to fostering a talented and cohesive workforce. As the company continues to grow globally, this position is instrumental in managing HR functions for both our Australian office and the expedition team operating onboard our vessels in the Asia-Pacific region.


· Lead end-to-end hiring processes for the Australian office, ensuring acquisition of qualified professionals aligned with the company culture.

· Manage the creation and updating of employment contracts, maintaining compliance with employment laws and industry standards.

· Provide strategic oversight for performance appraisals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee development.

· Drive the recruitment process for the expedition team, collaborating with relevant departments to secure qualified professionals for crucial roles.

· Act as a key liaison with UMS for crew contracts, ensuring adherence to maritime regulations and legal standards.

· Serve as the local point of contact for the Expedition team, addressing needs and facilitating effective communication.

· Develop and execute comprehensive schedules for expedition team rotations, optimizing performance and well-being during expeditions.

About You

· Understanding of Employment Laws

· Previous experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, exp in agency highly regarded

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

· Strong interpersonal skills for relationship-building

· Problem-solving skills for effective recruitment

· Familiarity with various recruitment methods, including job boards and social media
