My client is a vibrant, independent full-service advertising agency with offices in Sydney and Melbourne. They offer a range of unique services to its clients, specialising in promotional marketing, brand strategy, and augmented reality. The agency focuses on several specialties, including omni-channel brand strategy, co-lab, augmented reality, media, creative, events, experiences, and digital-first initiatives, from Transport and Logistics to Retail and everything in between. The team is made up of passionate, creative professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional results for our clients.

The Role

We are currently seeking a proficient and experienced Clients Director to join the team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be accountable for driving the agency's growth through new business acquisition and client development.

What will you do

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the media and advertising landscape.

  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients, leveraging industry contacts, personal networks, and market research.

  • Lead the pitching process, from initial contact to proposal development and presentation, ensuring a high conversion rate of prospects to active clients.

  • Understand client needs and objectives, providing strategic media solutions that align with their goals.

  • Foster long-term relationships with clients, identifying opportunities for account growth and upselling agency services.

  • Contribute to the agency’s strategic planning, focusing on growth areas and emerging media trends.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (creative, digital, analytics, etc.) to develop integrated media strategies that drive client success.

Who are you

  • Min. of 5 years’ experience in a media agency, marketing, events or related environment, with a proven track record in business development and client management.

  • Strong understanding of the media landscape, including digital, social, traditional, and emerging channels.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and persuade at the executive level.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
